Hiroshige's "Edo Hyaku": perspectives of Landscape Ukiyo Prints

On Display at The Japan Foundation
Through April 2023

Selected pieces from ROM's collection of Japanese art and culture now on loan at The Japan Foundation in Toronto. Explore woodblock prints from the One Hundred Famous Views of Edo series designed by Utagawa Hiroshige, including never-before-seen original pieces from ROM's collection. This exhibition examines Hiroshige's Edo Hyaku, well-known landscape prints that use unique linear perspectives to express depth and distance.
