| With a heavy heart We will be closing our 498 Queen St w location at the end of this month to focus on growing the brand and representing Toronto globally through our online store and experiential pop up events. We built a community for our culture, that bridged our world with corporate. This shop served as a hub for not only ideas and dreams that we had, but for everyone else around us. We've hosted meet and greets, intimate music performances, and pop ups for other brands and many more. The support from our community also helped us achieve the recognition and ability to collaborate/partner with Remy Martin, PUMA, Toronto Raptors, and the NBA just to name a few. My goal has been, to make an impactful impression so these corporations would feel more inclined to take a chance on the next "black man" that walked through their doors. I wanted GFC to give everyone who looked like me a role model in this lane. By setting an example and creating something to strive towards and surpass. In the beginning I was told, I should change my name "Fresh" because it would never get me far. Also, to cut my braids if I wanted to be taken seriously. I'M GLAD I DID IT MY WAY…I'M GLAD WE DID IT OUR WAY. I learned a lot these past 10 years and its time to take all that education and continue to grow beyond these walls. I want to thank each and everyone of you for all the continued support and love over the past ten years and looking forward to making new memories with all of you.
