Fall Winter 2024

New vision for a new season ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌...

There is no dino, only Zuul

January 22, 2019
COMING TO THE ROM
After 76 million year’s, Zuul’s remarkably well-preserved original body will be revealed at the ROM for the first time. Soon after technicians began removing the block of hard sandstone that covered Zuul’s massive body in 2016, it became clear there was much more to the specimen than originally expected, and the findings have been more exciting and complex than we could have ever imagined. As rock was carefully chipped away, incredible fossilized skin, body armour, and spikes were exposed along with a near perfect prehistoric turtle and other preserved plants and animals.

See this ground-breaking discovery on display in Zuul: Life of an Armoured Dinosaur, presenting sponsor Sinking Ship Entertainment, as of January 25 at 10:00 am. We think you’ll agree; the wait was worth it.
Please note that on Thursday, January 24 from 2:30-5:00 pm, a section of the Zuul exhibition will be closed for the installation of Zuul's body.
